Swindon Borough Council confirm No Planned Road or Path Works for Priory Vale & Haydon Wick in 2025/26
Labour Councillors for Priory Vale fail to fight for road and paths resurfacing
Swindon Borough Council has published its Highways & Transport Capital Programme for 2025/26. There are no planned road or footpath resurfacing works in Priory Vale or Haydon Wick. The only work scheduled is pothole repairs, but only if they meet strict criteria.
Despite clear issues with roads and footpaths in our area, Labour councillors for Priory Vale and Haydon Wick have not challenged this lack of investment. They have not fought for road or path improvements that residents rely on.
At the same time, they have allowed weed spraying services to be cut, leading to overgrown streets and untidy paths. The Parish Council is stepping in to trial weed spraying this year, responding to frequent requests from residents. This comes at a significant cost, but we are acting on what matters to you.
I will keep pushing for better roads, footpaths, and cleaner streets. Let me know if you have concerns.
