Early morning start, checking overnight logs and issues

An early start today catching a train before 7am into London. Shifting this flu, cold doing the rounds is proving difficult, but lemsip is at the ready! It’s been a while since I have had to grab such an early train. Busier than previous times but plenty of seating available. A good job as the seat reservations were not in place.

Over night we had one site outage that resolved itself without any active input at the time. The site a popular hospitality venue had closed for the evening so there was no impact on them.

Checks shows none of our equipment went offline, so this looks like it was an ISP outage.

Checking further we can see drop outs on the ISP equipment.

A ticket has been raised with the ISP to find out the issue.

Email sent to client informing them of the overnight issue. All remote testing confirms everything is operating as it should be. The site has be placed on priority monitor for the next 48 hours, so technicians will monitor it more closely.
