Improving Connectivity at a Grassroots Football Club
Ubiquiti Nanostation AC gen2 perfect for the job
I recently completed a project to install a point to point wireless link at a local grassroots football club. The aim was to provide internet access to a building on the far side of the site, without the disruption or cost of digging trenches for network cables.
I installed a pair of directional Ubiquiti nanostation AC gen2, wireless units on each building and carefully aligned them to ensure a stable connection. These linked back to the main clubhouse network. The installation was completed within a few hours and required no major groundwork.
This upgrade now allows the remote building to access CCTV feeds, internal WiFi, and essential administrative tools. It improves safety, supports day-to-day operations, and helps the club provide better services to players, coaches, and volunteers.
This solution is ideal for community clubs and facilities with separate buildings or outbuildings. It offers a cost-effective and practical way to extend connectivity where it is needed most.
If your site has similar needs or challenges, I would be happy to share advice or support a future project.
Great idea and great to help a small business with a cost effective solution.
