Cottage network build
Another wireless project complete ✅
The Cottage is next door to the main hotel.
Requirements:
Internet connection
Wireless network
Network for IPTV
All linked back to main hotel.
With no physical links available back to the main hotel a short Point To Point link was created with some upgrades to the main building network.
A pair of nanobeams correctly aligned is providing 600Mbps across the link.
During planning it became apparent the hotel would have an issue with getting a phone link over. Main hotel has an analog PBX with no quick option to setup any VOIP.
A couple of analog to SIP converters were used and a separate network (VLAN) created to convert the analog phone to SIP and then back to analog again.
Grandstream HT802 and HT813 are perfect for this.
And last but not least, wireless access points and switch in the cottage to tie everything together.
All access points are hidden out of view so as not to spoil the aesthetics of the Cottage.
