Beaming Broadband Across the Cotswolds with Ubiquiti NanoStations
Sometimes you can’t run a cable. That was the case for a recent client in the Cotswolds. They needed fast, stable internet between two buildings around 150 meters apart. Digging wasn’t an option, and Wi-Fi extenders just couldn’t keep up.
We used Ubiquiti NanoStation devices to create a point-to-point wireless link—and the results were better than expected.
Each device is designed to focus its signal like a laser beam. With a clear line of sight between the buildings, we mounted the devices, aligned them carefully, and set one as the access point and the other as the station.
After fine-tuning the alignment, we achieved a solid 600Mbps wireless link. It’s fast, low-latency, and handles everything the client needs—video calls, large file transfers, even live security camera feeds.
The setup is almost invisible from the ground, but it’s delivering wired-speed performance through the air. No trenches, no mess, just clean and reliable connectivity.
If you’ve got buildings to connect and no easy way to run a cable, a setup like this might be the answer. Let me know if you’re thinking about it—I’m happy to talk it through.
