An interesting network challenge.
This site has been occupied for the last 12 months after the client moved in and had their IT company bring all their existing IT infrastructure with them.
Since the move their wireless network has been slow, inconsistent and generated staff complaints.
They were already using Unifi access points and switches, but the placement of the access points and configuration was not optimal.
- Interference
- Channel issues
- auto power
- auto channelling
- too much overlap
Having spent time onsite I have now been able to optimise their setup.
- Moved Access points to better physical locations
- Setup correct manual channels
- Adjusted power levels manually - lower power
- Added 2 additional access points - low power
Coverage is now ideal.
There is little interference.
The performance is spot on.
Staff are happy.
